Supporting the YIC staff as a senior volunteer for 12 months through the European Solidarity Corps’ Humanitarian Aid Volunteer Programme and the “Empowering Communities through Skills Development” project. Designed and implemented projects focused on youth capacity-building, civic engagement, and democratic participation through non-formal education. Facilitated social clubs for local youth, including a conversational English club, culture clubs, and interpersonal communication clubs.
Led logistics planning and execution for the USIP’s 2022 Generation Change Exchange with His Holiness the Dalai Lama (HHDL) program. Coordinated with the Youth, Peace, & Security team on visa application processes and travel arrangements for project participants and staff. Communicated participants’ confidential information to the Office of HHDL and coordinated with the Office of HHDL on security measures for the meetings with the Dalai Lama. Directed USIP personnel in project budget management and communicated with programme staff and participants about the project agenda.
Conducted research as an intern within the Centre for Multidisciplinary Studies on Racism and Institute for Housing and Urban Research at Uppsala University, supporting the research project "Immigrant mothers – racialized children. Pathways, conflicts and visions." Coordinated with the research advisor on the identification of themes and issues within the analysed texts.
Central administrator for the Curriculum and Training Design (CTD) team within the USIP Center for Applied Conflict Transformation, supporting the Youth, Peace, and Security programme and the Security Sector Capacity Development programme. Edited and formatted three training manuals, including a Training of Trainers manual for the Youth programme and two manuals for East African law enforcement entities on community relations for the Security Sector Capacity Development programme.
