Thanks for having a look at my bio. Just adding a bit of colour to my CV...
I left the Netherlands for Ghana in 2001 to work with a British Council project targeting sports & social responsibility. A life changing experience that made me stay in Ghana for another 20+ years.
During my time in Ghana I started out working with employers in the field of construction, import as well as visa processing. After which I set up my own travel & tour business.
The cliche that life is a journey, is very much the perspective I have. The storyline intrigues me. When looking back, I appreciate the many challenges I met and dealt with along the way.
My life & work experiences have given me appreciation, 'survival' skills, a worldly perspective as well as perseverance (and most important; 2 beautiful kids!).
About me, I am a creative, open & flexible person. A listener. An observer (a bit stubborn at times). Being in my 50's I strongly believe that my background, experience and fresh and flexible look towards new situations, would be a valuable asset to others. This could be in a variety of fields, such as; international development, small business, social work, tourism & leisure, intercultural work and even construction...
