PBI Training Day!
On the 24th of September, PBI will host the next free training event filled with interesting topics such as human rights, non-violence, accompaniment, the work of human rights defenders, and decision making processes based on consensus.
Besides that these topics might be of your interest, you can also learn more about what it means to be a PBI volunteer in one of our project countries: Colombia, Guatemala, Honduras, Indonesia, Kenya, Mexico, Nepal and Nicaragua (from Costa Rica). Our trainer and former PBI field volunteer Indonesia, Emma Jansen, will guide you through the establishment of Peace Brigades International (PBI) and how we have successfully accompanied thousands of human rights defenders over the last 40 years. Through informal and interactive group exercises you will gain a strong understanding of the unique approach PBI takes in the human rights sector, and learn from the field work experience of our trainers. If you are interested in becoming a field volunteer yourself, this is the perfect place to ask all your questions!
Will we see you there? Please register here or use the button below! 👇
Please note: The trainingsday (lunch included) is offered to you for free. If you signed up for the event, but won’t be able to participate during the training please let us know as soon as possible. Cancellation within 24 hours of the start of the event will incur a cancellation fee of €25
