About Spotlight Team International Art
Spotlight Team International Art is a global non-profit organization that merges art with activism, working to uplift marginalized communities around the world. Through collaborations with artists and social workers, the organization creates initiatives that empower people facing conflict, trauma, and social isolation. Our mission is to use the arts as a tool for healing and building resilience, bringing positive change to some of the world’s most challenging environments.
About the “Art Tents” Project
The Art Tents project in Gaza, launched in late 2023, is a testament to Spotlight Team’s commitment to providing creative and emotional support. Set up in refugee camps, these Art Tents offer a safe space for children, teenagers, and women to explore their creativity and process trauma. Working alongside local psychologists and artists, Spotlight Team provides art therapy sessions, music workshops, and other activities that support mental health and emotional resilience. Not only does the project nurture Gaza’s young minds, but it also provides employment for local artists, fostering a sense of community and hope in a region facing difficult circumstances.
