About You:
We’re looking for a driven, detail-oriented Financial Controller with a passion for both numbers and the people behind them. You’re a self-starter with a hands-on mentality, a sharp eye for detail, and a commitment to helping others grow professionally. You thrive in a dynamic, international environment and are adaptable to emerging challenges. If you possess the following qualifications, we want to hear from you:

• A passion for finance, accuracy, and making an impact
• A self-driven, proactive attitude with the flexibility to get things done
• Strong communication skills to work effectively across all levels of the organisation
• A relevant HBO or university degree in Accounting and/or Finance with a solid track record in Finance & Accounting
• 5-8 years of experience working in an international environment, preferably with management of donor funds
• Fluency in English; proficiency in French is a big plus

How You’ll Contribute:
As Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in managing and optimising financial operations within AUXFIN. You’ll be responsible for:

• Supporting Finance & Administration teams across our country offices
• Contributing to the planning & control cycle for headquarters
• Monitoring and reporting on the financial status of several Africa-based projects, ensuring they align with budget and audit cycles
• Assisting in the implementation and optimisation of financial procedures across the AUXFIN Group
• Empowering management to make informed, forward-looking financial decisions

• Be part of a small, collaborative team where trust and personal responsibility are at the core of our culture
• A one-year contract with the intent of extension
• A contract for 24–32 hours per week (hours are negotiable)
• Competitive salary ranging from €3,200 to €4,400 gross per month (based on a 36-hour workweek) depending on experience and 8% vacation allowance. Home-to-work mileage and home-office allowances are paid in accordance with the allowances permitted by the Dutch tax authority.
• Hybrid work model: while our office is based in Tiel, you’ll collaborate with colleagues worldwide. Most Dutch colleagues work part of the week from home
