We are looking for a Junior Project Officer for our international programmes on eco-feminist movements and climate-justice (m/f/d)
Position Summary
Women Engage for a Common Future (WECF) seeks a proactive and organised Junior Project Officer to support the implementation of our ecofeminist movements and climate justice programs. The Junior Project Officer will work closely with the Programme Manager to ensure efficient project coordination, subgranting, assist in policy advocacy efforts, and manage administrative tasks to support our mission of promoting climate justice and gender equality globally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Coordination Support: Assist the Program Manager in coordinating project activities, managing timelines, and tracking progress across various initiatives.
- Grant Management Assistance: Support the administration of financial sub-granting mechanisms, ensuring transparency and accuracy in fund allocation and assisting with report preparation for donors.
- Communication and Outreach: Collaborate with the communications team to help organise the visibility of the project, awareness campaigns, support social media content creation, and maintain relationships with project partners and stakeholders.
- Policy Advocacy and Research Support: Assist with policy research, drafting documents, and compiling resources for advocacy efforts. Participate in organising events and activities that promote ecofeminist values and climate justice.
- Capacity Building Support: Help coordinate capacity-building activities, workshops, and training sessions for civil society organisations and youth groups, assisting with logistical arrangements and materials preparation.
- Monitoring and Evaluation: Track and document project outcomes, gather data for impact assessments, and support the preparation of monitoring and evaluation reports.
- Administrative and Financial Support: Provide administrative support for budgeting and financial management, including expense tracking, coordinating with finance staff, and supporting the preparation of financial reports.
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist in setting up meetings, taking minutes, and maintaining project documentation.
- Support fundraising efforts by helping with proposal drafting and maintaining donor relations.
- Coordinate logistics for travel, workshops, and events as needed.
Your Profile
- A degree in environmental studies, social sciences, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in project assistance, preferably in climate action, social justice, or related sectors.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with an eye for detail.
- Good communication skills in English (additional languages such as Dutch, French, or Spanish are an asset).
- Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with online communication and project management tools
- Commitment to WECF’s mission, with an interest in gender equality and climate justice.
What We Offer
- A supportive work environment with opportunities for professional development and growth.
- A renewable one-year contract for 32-36 hours per week. The salary range for a full-time position (40 hours per week) is €2,350 – €2,600 gross per month. Your actual salary will be prorated based on contracted hours and depends on work experience.
- Benefits include a pension scheme, 25 days of annual leave (full-time), commuting allowance, and remote work compensation.
