A medical doctor with a diploma in Global Health and Humanitarian Medicine, Master’s in international journalism, and concluding a Master’s in Public Health.
I have worked as a medical doctor for eight years and for the last five years have been working with Médecins sans Frontières (MSF) at project and country levels.
In my five years working with MSF, I have experienced and worked in a range of varied contexts; high resource, stable vertical projects in Chechnya to low resource contexts of Bangladesh and Syria, and unstable, poor resourced contexts of South Sudan and Yemen. I have been part of teams managing Diphtheria, Measles, Hepatitis E, and Cholera outbreaks in Bangladesh, South Sudan, and Yemen.
I have been part of teams or individually responsible for developing palliative care, antimicrobial resistance, quality of care, and HIV/TB strategies in India, Yemen, and South Sudan missions.
Over the last two years, I have been responsible for health program management, developing and overseeing the implementation of the country’s medical strategy, and planning/budgeting, supporting and coaching medical team leads.
