I am a highly versatile, dynamic and astute professional with 15 years' experience working in challenging roles covering high impact fund management, grant funding, portfolio management, disbursement processing & administration, investment and export promotion, investor and international relations, lead generation, business and industry development, investor enquiry handling, stakeholder relations and project management. I am experienced in policy and strategy formulation as well as sector development trend research. My work focuses on developmental economic impact, including women and youth development, job creation/preservation, SME development and industrialisation.
Since 2007, I have worked for national government and 10 years for the Industrial Development Corporation (DFI). I worked with 5 funding programmes of which two were EU donor funded and the other 3 grant funding. I have worked with multiple sectors and its sub-sectors and various value chains.

Ervaring
Providing professional advice for acquiring finance and compiling business plans and finance applications. Resigned from the Industrial Development and relocated to Denmark for a set period.
Currently working in a team of thirteen employees within the Strategic Business Unit: Machinery, Equipment and Electronics. Our role is to enhance the industrial capability of South Africa, and the rest of the continent, thereby boosting economic growth and industrial development. This is done by funding entrepreneurs starting new enterprises or supporting companies that want to extend existing operations. Focused on debt, equity and quasi-equity, guarantees, trade finance and venture capital instruments ranging on average from 962K Euro – 7,2M Euro, debt finance range from 48k to 48,1M Euro. Overall responsible for new business development and first contact with potential clients. Reviewing business plans and preparing deals for due diligence. Responsible for KPI tracking of business unit and reporting on impact and progress. Previous roles at IDC required working with four grant funded programmes in the innovation development space across different industries; competitiveness development in the Clothing, Textiles, Leather and Footwear Industry; and Green Tourism development. Funding assistance ranged from 24K Euro to 1,4 M Euro. Nadia was responsible for reviewing business plans and fund applications, preparing due diligence reports / funding submissions and also tracking post investment activities. Was responsible for about 150 clients.
Responsible for two EU grant funded programmes, total budget 4,8M Euro. It involved implementing Customised Sector Programmes for the ICT, Power and Electronics Sectors. The main focus was on industry development, investment- and export promotion. The programmes consisted of SAVANT which is a marketing and awareness programme for the ICT sector as well as CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration) which is a process improvement model for the development of products and services and is extensively used in the global software engineering sector. Nadia was instrumental in writing a policy / sector strategy paper for the local manufacturing industry of the White Goods sector as well as an export strategy into Africa.
