I am an experienced researcher that has worked in the fields of research policy and social justice for the past years at Leiden University.
I'm currently in the process of transnitioning towards a journalistic career and would be interested in working as a freelancer covering European politics from a remote basis. I have been published in several news outlets in the past, in particular within the BBC and Dutchnews.nl.
I am currently completing a degree in Public Policy, which is split between the Hague and Barcelona.

I worked on a project wherein I wrote documents busting common myths about the energy transition.
As a freelance journalist I've been covering topics on social concerns, such as pro-Palestine demonstrations in the Netherlands and the political manoeuvring surrounding patent rights and COVID vaccines. As a freelance journalist I've been covering topics on social concerns, such as pro-Palestine demonstrations in the Netherlands and the political manoeuvring surrounding patent rights and COVID vaccines.
While working as a researcher at CWTS, I worked on a number of different projects that all revolved around the relationships between the research and innovation system and broader society. I first began researching the relaitonships between the university research system and its relations with industry and how they influence each other.
Next, I participated in a number of projects on the social responsibility of research, largely within European Commission projects.
Towards the end of my time at CWTS, I worked on a project which was a qualitative and quantitative investigation of research priorities in the context of mental and cardiometabolic health.
Throughout my time at CWTS, I have contributed extensively to project development, writing, and conducting both quantitative and qualitative research.
